Hello is it just like a normal desert race

Basically it is a desert race with a bunch of check points. Riders leave 3 on a row with no mass start. At the start you will have a row number, this equals your assigned minute, your minute is what your racing to stay on. The race starts at 8:00 am so row 1 takes off at 8:01 row 2 takes off at 8:02 etc. At the check points there will be clocks that will show what minute it is when you arrive to tell you if you are early or late to the check. If early you pull over at the check and wait for your minute to be up and then race the next section to the next check. If you are late to the check you have to make up some time before the next check so ride good. Check crews will hold you at the check if your early. If your late there maybe riders waiting for their minute off to the side. Check crews will wave you to go ahead because you are late to the check in and need to make up some time. So in stead of racing the whole course in a hare scramble, with the enduro you are only racing between checks. You still need to ride a good pace the whole day. You need to make sure you stop at the checks and they write down your time on the score card before going through or you will not be scored on that test.

Thanks WSRA. Had fun Saturday riding along. Sunday was fun too, until it started raining.

Here's an unedited video from Saturday.

Saturday was a time keeper and national format depending on who signed up. District riders were time keeping. And mrann riders were national format. If you were row 60 (I think it was 60) and up it was national format and under 60 was a time keeper.

Thanks, that explains why one flyer stated it would be a timekeeper and some posts stated it would be a restart and why I saw some riders in the video parked alongside the trail and other not stopping. Where there any Emergency Checks for the timekeepers? Did I miss them on the video?

Thanks WSRA for a fun course and great dirt.  I threw a blue thor vest into the back of a white utility truck before the start of the 2nd special.  Let me know if someone has it and where I can pick it up at if it was not thrown out[smile]
